Client Situation

Our client has one of the leading products in Merchant Services sector used by some of the largest financial institutions. Having entrusted another supplier with the product, our client was struggling as the feature backlog was growing due to lack of progress and the underlying platforms were starting to give up due to it being legacy. Our client was not just seeing profits go into negative territory, but was certain that their customers would not renew the contract in the next cycle and that they would have to shut operations. 

What Conso4s did?

Conso4s used their tried and trusted methodology OPO (Observe-Perform-Own) to take full ownership of the product including TUPE of staff and cloud assets. Conso4s did the minimum necessary to stabilise product including uplifting the quality of the software in the following eight weeks. The minimum was done as getting the profits turned around was crucial else the product would have been left without any customers and revenues.

Following that Conso4s started delivering on the feature backlog within time, budget and to demonstrated quality whilst continuing to rearchitect and upgrade the product in parallel.

The Outcome

The product went from making a loss to generating profits within 9 months. Our client managed to win back the confidence of their customers, who are now engaging about rolling the product out globally with multi-currency and multi-lingual capabilities.

Since initial engagement, our client handed over their Telecoms products to us and have had a rapid MVP B2B product launch which has already delivered over ten times the scale originally planned and it still continues to grow.
